Carolina
Dental Hygienist
Carolina graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with her Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2016 and has been with Lakeside Dental since 2018. Carolina is fluent in Spanish and has enjoyed being able to help our patients with translation assistance for a better understanding of their dental care needs. Carolina cherishes meeting new patients and building relationships. In her free time, Carolina homeschools her daughter, Kailani. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling abroad, and gardening.
Liz
Dental Hygienist
Liz graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2017. She has been with Lakeside Dental since graduating and has enjoyed building lasting relationships with her patients while helping them feel confident with their smile! Outside of work, Liz can be found juggling the chaos with their 5 kids- Kirra, Indie, Haines, and twin girls, Sage and Sutton. When Liz gets some free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, and spending time outdoors.
Heather
Dental Hygienist
Heather graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with her Diploma in Dental Assisting in 2011 and her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2013. She has been in the dental field since graduating from DMACC and has been at Lakeside Dental since 2014. Heather is passionate about educating her patients on oral health and takes pride in helping her patients make significant improvements to their overall care. She loves spending time with her husband, Luke, and their three kids, Landen, Raegan, and Lincoln. When not busy with kid’s sporting activities, her interests are all things home decor, organization, crafting, and capturing memories with her kids.
Emma
Dental Assistant
Emma completed on the job dental assistant training in 2022. She furthered her education in 2023, completing her expanded functions level 1 dental assistant training with Davidson Dental Education LLC. She is expected to complete expanded functions level 2 in 2025! Emma has loved continuously advancing her skills and dental knowledge, while helping patients with their dental needs. In her spare time, Emma enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, Jenna, camping, singing, and reading.
Hannah
Office Manager
Hannah graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2025 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, minoring in Organizational Communication and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration: Business Leadership. She comes to Lakeside Dental with 10 years of dental experience with a specialty in dental insurance and billing. Hannah’s favorite part of dental is building relationships with patients and helping the team grow. In her free time, she can be found hanging out with her dog, Bailey, adding to her plant collection, and trying new recipes.
Karla
Office Coordinator
Karla has been the smiling face you’ve been greeted with for over 20 years. In her 40 years of dental experience, she has been a dental assistant, front receptionist, and office manager. She has enjoyed building relationships with patients and watching them grow throughout the years- they’ve become family! Karla loves helping patients throughout all aspects of their visit from calling to schedule an appointment to treatment understanding, and insurance education. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children, and grandchildren. Otherwise, she can be found gardening, enjoying the outdoors, cooking, and baking delicious treats.
